Nestled in the countryside four miles outside Henley-on-Thames, South Oxfordshire, The Unicorn is first-and-foremost a village pub, in an area dominated by those that have become staid restaurants. Our food offerings are often adventurous, and highly regarded, but the bar and its atmosphere remain the focus. The cricket, darts and cribbage teams, and our quiz on Monday nights bring a vitality sadly missing from so many of the areas former pubs. We serve Brakspear's standard and seasonal (and bottled Organic) bitters, and Hook Norton Mild ('Hooky Dark'); and are in the 2006 and 2007 Good Beer Guides as a testament to our cellar! The wine list comprises roughly twenty wines, some permanent, others changing on a regular basis. Our menu changes daily as fresh dishes are prepared and others run out. The Unicorn also offers a large double suite available for letting, with wireless internet access, and all the expected facilities. |
